Similar to some malaysian strains, the pain killing effects of Indo strains tend to last a bit longer than other strains, either due to the increased potency or the cell structure of the leaves. Many people who use this plant for pain suggest red vein Indo strains, or red vein Borneo strains, which is technically an Indo strain, and report great effects. However, a red vein Indo strain can often cause sedation, making it not the most ideal day strain type for some; because of this, many suggest green or white vein indo strains, which tend to be less sedating overall — some are even energetic.

Anxiety Relief

Similar to Borneo and Bali strains, Indo kratom strains are often used for anxiety relief. The sedation from Indo strains combined with their analgesic effects can be highly useful for some. However, some rare white vein indo strains may be too energetic for this purpose. Because of this, a red vein is often the best choice.

Mood Lifting

Indo kratom strains are some of the most effective varieties for mood boosting, primarily due to its high content of 7-hydroxymitragynine. However, as noted before, those who are looking for an energetic mood boost are best going for a white vein indo, or another strain such as a Thai or Maeng Da. Alkaloids

Although very little research has been done, there are a few studies which have dramatically helped us analyze the effects of each individual alkaloid, as well as studies of alkaloid content, both of which contribute dramatically to a greater understanding of what alkaloids are most prevalent in Indo kratom. Due to the sedation effects and mood boosting, we know that they have a significantly higher proportion of 7-OH-mitragynine than many other strains. Popular Indo Kratom Strains

Because Indo is a very broad term, and a very broad area, there are different strains with differing effects that grow from the region. The kratom effect varies with different people.

Super Indo

This kratom type is one of the most commonly purchased for a reason: it is potent. Super Green Indo is unique because it seems to retain the pain killing and relaxing effects of a red vein, while also having some very mild energetic effects. One should note, however, that some varieties of green Indo are more sedating than others, so it can vary from vendor to vendor, and plant to plant.

Red Vein Indo

Like other red vein strains,  this variety of “evening” Indo can pack quite a punch. Known for its powerful analgesic, mood-lifting and sedative properties, this strain can be far from energetic. However, some people who enjoy the qualities of this strain mix it with a more energizing strain with good results.

White Vein Indo

As it is a white vein, it is by far the most stimulating variety of Indo kratom. Those who prefer to have pain relief as well as a boost would enjoy this one. This strain has been commonly known for its “clean” energetic effects, which has been reported to make mentally strenuous tasks much easier.
